ΓΙΔΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΠΡΟΒΑΤΑ
Θυμάμαι που πριν από λίγα χρόνια, ο πιο ό,τι νά ΄ναι πρωθυπουργός που ξέβρασε η ψήφος μας, αποφάσισε να κάνει δημοψήφισμα. Κοιτώντας εκ των υστέρων εντυπωσιάζομαι από το πόσο βλάκες πιαστήκαμε. Η επιλογή της λέξης εσκεμμένη, καθώς άλλα ρήματα τύπου “απορώ”, “εκπλήσσομαι” κλπ απλώς αδυνατούν να προσδιορίσουν το μέγεθος της βλακείας που μας δέρνει. Κληθήκαμε να απαντήσουμε σε ένα ανύπαρκτο ουσιαστικά ερώτημα, κι αντί να τον πλακώσουμε στις σφαλιάρες κι αυτόν κι όλο το σινάφι του, χωριστήκαμε σε “μενουμευρώπηδες” και αντιστασιακούς του κώλου. Πλακωθήκαμε με συγγενείς και φίλους, μαλώσαμε με συνεργάτες, κοιμηθήκαμε πλάτη – πλάτη με τις γυναίκες μας και βγάλαμε τα παιδιά μας στους δρόμους να φωνάζουν είτε υπέρ της μιας πλευράς είτε υπέρ της άλλης, ενώ αυτό που έπρεπε να κάνουμε ήταν να πάμε να ρίξουμε χασαποσέρβικο στο Σύνταγμα, δίπλα στις μπουτούδες Συριζαίες.
Τα χρόνια πέρασαν και για πρώτη φορά, αυτή η γενιά που θα χόρευε τις αγορές με ζουρνάδες και νταούλια, βρέθηκε αντιμέτωπη με μια απειλή επιπέδου “Independens Day”. Αν εξωγήινοι εμφανίζονταν στους ουρανούς της γης, ως χαρακτήρες, μάλλον θα έμοιαζαν με τον Κορωνοϊό: Ανελέητοι, Αδιάφοροι, Παγκόσμιοι. Κι απέναντί τους θα είχαν το κυρίαρχο είδος του πλανήτη, εμάς, το οποίο θα χώριζαν άμεσα σε δύο υποκατηγορίες: Στα Γίδια και στα Πρόβατα.
Για την πρώτη κατηγορία, απλά θα ήταν ανύπαρκτοι. Όλα είναι συνωμοσία. Τι συνωμοσία ακριβώς, ποιοι την έχουν υφάνει, ποιοι οι στόχοι και γιατί έτσι, είναι ερωτήματα άνευ σημασίας. Είναι συνωμοσία. Ή αλλιώς, “έχει Αθηναϊκές πινακίδες”, αυτό αρκεί. Άσε που πήγε κι ανακατεύτηκε κι ο Μπιλλ ο Γκέιτς, αυτός ντε, της Μάϊκροσοφτ, το φιλαράκι του Σορος και του Ροκφέλερ. Ελλοχίμ είναι οι τύποι μάγκα μου, να μου το θυμηθείς. Λύσσαξαν να μας κόψουν τα πανηγύρια οι Ανθέλληνες, για να μη γιορτάσουμε τα διακόσια χρόνια μας το κάνουν όλο αυτό και για να μας υποχρεώσουν να φοράμε το 666. Που δε θα το φοράμε δηλαδή, με ορό θα μας το βάλουν, τάχα μου εμβόλιο κι έτσι. Ρώτα και τον Μήτσο τον Μαχαίρα, τον ταξιτζή της γειτονιάς, απόφοιτος της Λιακοπούλειου σχολής το άτομο.
Πηγαίνανε τα Γίδια της Πάτρας και κάνανε αποκριάτικες εκδηλώσεις ενώ στην Ιταλία ΞΕΡΑΝΕ ότι πεθαίνει κόσμος και κοσμάκης. Πηγαίνανε τα Γίδια της Αθήνας και κάνανε διαδηλώσεις ενώ ΞΕΡΑΝΕ ότι στην Ισπανία έχει χαθεί η μπάλα. Πάνε τα γίδια της Μυκόνου και κάνουνε πάρτι σε σπίτια που που νοικιάζουν ΙΤΑΛΟΙ αν έχεις το θεό σου (για να μη νομίζουμε ότι τα Γίδια είναι μόνο ελληνικής προέλευσης, αν και σίγουρα κάποιοι θα το υποστηρίξουν κι αυτό κάποια στιγμή) και γίνεται το έλα να δεις. Πάνε τα Γίδια και κολλάνε πίσω σου στο ταμείο του Σούπερ μάρκετ, κι αν τους πεις “ λίγο πιο πίσω μπορείτε;” σε ρωτούν με ύφος ηρωικό και πένθιμο αν φοβάσαι κι αν πιστεύεις στο Κορωνοϊό.
Όχι, πιστεύω στον ένα Θεό Πατέρα Παντοκράτορα, ΜΑΛΑΚΑ, αλλά κράτα την απόσταση μη σου γαμήσω ότι έχεις και δεν έχεις. Γίδι. Που όταν ζητάνε εθελοντές αλλάζεις κανάλι, που όταν πρέπει να σηκώσεις ανάστημα φωνάζεις γιατί δεν το σηκώνουνε οι άλλοι για σένα, που στα εύκολα είσαι πάντα πρώτος και καλύτερος και στο να βάλεις πλάτη τελευταίος.
Τα Γίδια, όπως και τα Πρόβατα, μπερδεύουν την ευγένεια με την αδυναμία. Σε σέβονται μόνο όταν τους γαμείς. Να το θυμάστε οι υπόλοιποι. Τα Γίδια δεν παλεύονται. Δεν πρόκειται να αλλάξουν γνώμη ποτέ. Δεν υπάρχει Ιταλία λέμε ρε, είναι κομπάρσοι αυτοί που μας δείχνουν, δεν είναι ομαδικοί τάφοι, θεμέλια γέφυρας είναι! Ναι, μου το έχουν πει στα σοβαρά. Και δε συζητάς μ' αυτούς τους ανθρώπους, απλώς τους ξαποστέλνεις όπως μπορείς. Ευγενικά αν έχεις χρόνο, σιχτιρίζοντας αν δεν έχεις.
Κι από την άλλη μεριά τα πρόβατα. Αυτοί που ακολουθούν, που πιστεύουν, που δεν μπορούν με τίποτα, μα με τίποτα να σκεφτούν λιγάκι μοναχοί τους. Αυτοί που ψηφίζουν αυτό που ψηφίζει κι ο μπαμπάς, αυτοί που ποτέ δε βγουν να διαδηλώσουν, που ποτέ δε θα αντισταθούν, γιατί παραείναι δύσκολο και που να τραβιέσαι τώρα... Δεν χρειάζεται η μάσκα. Χρειάζεται, αλλά όχι τόσο πολύ, χρειάζεται έτσι κι έτσι. Τελικά μάλλον χρειάζεται λιγάκι παραπάνω, τι λιγάκι δηλαδή, παντού να την έχουμε. Την παίρνουν τα πρόβατα, τη βάζουν στην κωλότσεπη, πατάνε και μια κλανιά, αποστειρώνεται κιόλας, την ξαναφοράνε, κι όλα καλά. Απαγορεύονται τα πανηγύρια, αλλά τα μπαράκια μπορούν να είναι τίγκα. Κλείνουμε τα μπαράκια, αλλά στις εκκλησιές ελεύθερα. Κλείνουμε τις εκκλησίες για το Πάσχα, αλλά οι Γαύροι, Βάζελοι, και οι κάθε λογής πυροβολημένοι μπορούν ελεύθερα να ξεσαλώνουν. Να ανοίξουμε τα σύνορα, όχι να μην τα ανοίξουμε, να τα ανοίξουμε αλλά λιγάκι, να κάνουμε έλεγχο δειγματολειπτικό, μετά να κάνουμε έλεγχο σε όλους, μετά να τα κλείσουμε ξανά, μετά να σου πει ο παπάς στ' αυτί ρε, πες επιτέλους ότι ΔΕΝ ΞΕΡΕΙΣ ΤΙ ΣΚΑΤΑ ΑΝΤΙΜΕΤΩΠΙΖΕΙΣ, δεν είναι κακό!!!
Χιλιάδες Γίδια διαδήλωσαν αυτές τις μέρες στο Βερολίνο, στο Βελιγράδι και αλλού, ενάντια στα μέτρα που παίρνουν για τον Κορωνοϊό διάφορες κυβερνήσεις. Ανάμεσά τους όμως, βρίσκονται και κάποιοι Πολίτες. Πολίτες που αναρωτιούνται γιατί δεν μιλάνε για τη θεραπεία με την με υδροξυχλωροκίνη, γιατί δεν ξεκαθαρίζουν ότι άλλο θάνατος ΜΕ Κορωνοϊό κι άλλο Θάνατος ΑΠΟ Κορωνοϊό, γιατί κανείς δεν ορμάει στην Κίνα και στον ΠΟΥ για την εγκληματική τους συμπεριφορά, γιατί όταν Ειδικοί εμφανίζονται να διαφωνούν με τη χρήση μάσκας απλώς αγνοούνται από τα ΜΜΕ, όταν δεν λοιδορούνται ως συνωμοσιολόγοι, αντί να δοθεί επιτέλους μια σοβαρή απάντηση; Δεν είναι τόσο δύσκολο, πριν εκατό χρόνια ξανάγινε με την Ισπανική γρίπη ξέρετε... Χιλιάδες Πρόβατα κυκλοφορούν σκιαγμένα υπακούοντας αντικρουόμενες, ηλίθιες αλλοπρόσαλλες διαταγές, λαχταρώντας ξανά τον Τσιόρδα και τον Χαρδαλιά στις έξι. Ανάμεσά τους όμως βρίσκονται και κάποιοι Πολίτες. Πολίτες που έχουν τις ίδιες απορίες με τους άλλους που διαμαρτύρονται, αλλά επιλέγουν να περιμένουν. Δεν θα περιμένουν για πολύ.
Αυτές οι δύο περιπτώσεις πολιτών είναι που κρατούν την Ελπίδα. Άλλωστε ανέκαθεν, αυτοί τραβούσαν το κάρο απ' τη λάσπη. Αυτοί είναι που ξέρουν πως ο γαμημένος ο Ιός υπάρχει και ρημάζει τον πλανήτη σε όλα τα επίπεδα. Αυτοί είναι που ξέρουν πως διάφορα κοστουμάτα τομάρια θα εκμεταλλευτούν την κατάσταση για να περάσουν πράγματα που σε άλλες συνθήκες δε θα μπορούσαν ούτε να σκεφτούν. Αυτοί οι περίεργοι τύποι που ξέρουν να ακούν και να απαιτούν εξηγήσεις. Αυτοί οι περίεργοι τύποι που ξέρουν να υπακούν, να αντιστέκονται και να πολεμούν, που ξέρουν να εμπιστεύονται και να σέβονται αυτούς που έφτυσαν αίμα και χρόνια για να γίνουν “ειδικοί”, που δεν του
Αν νομίζετε ότι ανήκετε σ' αυτήν την κατηγορία, συνεχίστε να ακούτε περισσότερο και να μιλάτε λιγότερο. Γιατί όταν θα αρχίσετε να μιλάτε, θα δείτε ότι όλο και πιο πολλοί θα σας ακούν. Να ξέρετε ότι είστε λίγοι και είστε και σκόρπιοι, αλλά είστε ό,τι καλύτερο έχουμε. Μαζευτείτε λοιπόν, ο Χειμώνας Έρχεται.

Που φαινεται οτι ειναι ανεξαρτητο Κρατος η Κυπρος, και μπορει να υπερασπιζεται τον εαυτο της και την ΑΟΖ της...

Που φαινεται ότι λειτουργουν σαν αναποσπαστο μερος του ΕΝΙΑΙΟΥ Ελληνικου ΑΜΥΝΤΙΚΟΥ ΧΩΡΟΥ;
Γιατι δεν εχουν ακομη υπογραψει Συμφωνια Αμυντικης Συνεργασιας Ελλδας-Κυπριακης Δημοκρατιας...
...για να μπορουμε κι εμεις να τους στειλουμε φρεγατες και αεροπλανα για περασπιση; ( Και ναχουμε εμεις την ευθυνη αν δεν το κανουμε;) -ενω ξοδευουν ενα σωρο λεφτα ( ΤΕΤΑΡΤΗ ΣΤΗΝ ΕΕ ΜΕ ΑΜΥΝΤΙΚΕΣ ΔΑΠΑΝΕΣ 1,9% ΤΟΥ ΑΕΠ ΤΗΣ !!!!) για την υποτιθεμενη Αμυνα τους ;(1)
Ο Ανα ν στασιαδης, ο ταχα " Προεδρος" σας με το περουκινι, δεν ειχε πει στο Κραν Μοντανα οτι "...ερχομαι εδω σαν εκπροσωπος της Ελληνοκυπριακης κοινοτητας" -και οχι της εναιας και υπο μερικη κατοχη " Κυπριακης Δημοκρατιας";
Παλι τα δικα σας ανεξαρτητα θελετε να κανετε, μιλωντας για ενισχυση της "αποτρεπτικης ισχυος της Κυπριακης Δημοκρατιας" -ΑΛΛΑ ΧΩΡΙΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΙ(ΩΤΙ)ΚΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ ( το λεει και λαθος...) ";
Πως λειτουργησε ως τωρα η ανευ Στρατου αποτρεπτικη σας ισχυς;
Γινεται αυτο; Με λογια και διπλωματικες δαντελλες και ζαρτιερες;
Κι οσο πιο πολυ σκοτωνεστε να διαβεβαιωσετε οτι υπαρχει πληρης συμπτωση αποψεων Ελλαδας -Κυπρου...
...τοσο επιβεβαιωνεται ότι εσεις θελετε άλλα απο εμας...
...στην κατευθυνση του " να τα βρουμε επι τελους με τους Τουρκοκυπριους "συμπατριωτες" μας...

..εγκαθισταμενη σην Κυπρο-ακριβως κατω αο την Αγκυρα, σε μια θανατερη λαβιδα για τους Τουρκους, μιση ωρα απο το Λιβανο και μια απο την Αιγυπτο...
...αφηνοντας τις κρυες Βρυξελλες ( τι σχεση εχουμε εμεις με Ολλανδους και Βελγους βλαχους...) στα κρυα του λουτρου...
...και επανερχομενη ως Μεσογειακη τοπικη υπερδυναμη στον παναρχαιο γεωπολιτικο της χωρο-την Μεσογειο:
Μια το 1964, με το Σχεδιο Ατσεσον, που τωρα θασασταν, μετα την Ενωση ( και με μικρο τιμημα μια Τουρκικη βαση στην Καρπασια ταξης 5% του Κυπριακου εδαφους-οπως η Αγγλικη Βαση στη Δεκελεια-σιγα τα ωα.......) Ελληνικη Περιφερερεια, και συ το πολυ κανενας Γραματεας στην Διευθυνση Κυπριακων Υποθεσεων του ΥΠΕΞ μας...
...και μια το 1974, οταν ο Σαμψων κηρυξε την Ενωση, και πεσανε και τον φαγανε...
...γιατι οι Κυπριοι "Φοινικες" μικροψιλεμποροι δε θελανε να πληρωνουν φορους στο Ελληνικο Κρατος...
...αλλα να κανουν ανεξαρτητες μπιζνες με Λιβανο, Αιγυπτο και Μ.Ανατολη...
Και δεν υπαρχει Κυβερνηση Εθνικης Αξιοπρεπειας στην Ελλαδα...
...να μπει μεσα, να ξαναπαρει τα Κατεχομενα και να κηρυξει την Ενωση...
...τωρα που τα Στρατευματα Κατοχης ειναι διασπασμενα σε Γκιουλενιστες και Ερντογανιστες...

Τ ακους, Κοντε Ζαρτιερα;
Διαβαστε εδω και μια πολυ ενδιαφερουσα αναφορα για τις προσφατες εξελιξεις ενισχυσης και δυνατοτητες της Εθνικης Φρουρας της Κυπρου αλλα και των ελλειψεων της που πρεπει να συμπληρωθουν :
Κυπριακή Άμυνα και Εθνική Φρουρά: Αναμένονται εξελίξεις
Σε εθνικό επίπεδο, η χρόνια διστακτικότητα που επιδεικνύεται στη δημιουργία μιας σοβαρής αεροναυτικής δύναμης Ακτοφυλακής (με δικινητήρια αεροσκάφη ναυτικής επιτήρησης, περιπολικά ανοικτής θάλασσας με οργανικά ελικόπτερα, χερσαίο σύστημα θαλάσσιας επιτήρησης πέραν του ορίζοντα, και μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη ΜΕΑ), ή ακόμη και ενός μικρού, αλλά πραγματικού, κυπριακού Πολεμικού Ναυτικού, αποτελούμενου από στολίσκο σύγχρονων πυραυλακάτων (ΤΠΚ), υπό την κάλυψη χερσαίων συστημάτων πυραύλων κατά πλοίων, οδήγησε τελικά στην τουρκική κυριαρχία της κυπριακής ΑΟΖ.
Η υπερεκτίμηση του ρόλου της ΕΕ για την αποτροπή της Άγκυρας και η ψευδαίσθηση της επίδειξης σημαίας στην Κυπριακή ΑΟΖ από ένα άοπλο Περιπολικό Ανοικτής Θαλάσσης (ΠΑΘ) που απέκτησε η Διοίκηση Ναυτικού, αντανακλούν την έλλειψη πραγματικής πολιτικής και στρατιωτικής βούλησης για αντιμετώπιση σημαντικών ζητημάτων, όπως το ενεργειακό πρόγραμμα της Δημοκρατίας, με σοβαρότητα και αποφασιστικότητα. Η πρόσφατη απόκτηση συστημάτων ΜΕΑ από το Ισραήλ και η υπογραφή σύμβασης αναβάθμισης των συστημάτων Εxocet MM-40 Block 2 στο επίπεδο Block 3, με εμβέλεια 180 χλμ., είναι μεν προς την ορθή κατεύθυνση αλλά οι ενέργειες είναι πλέον ανεπαρκείς και ετεροχρονισμένες
Δυνατότητες ΕΦ
- Οι επιχειρησιακές δυνατότητες της ΕΦ σε περίοδο θερμού επεισοδίου ή κρίσεως εξαρτώνται, σε μεγάλο βαθμό, από τις πολιτικές αποφάσεις της Κυπριακής Κυβέρνησης και ειδικά τους κανόνες εμπλοκής που αυτή θα έχει εκχωρήσει στις δυνάμεις τις ΕΦ. Ο τερματισμός της άσκησης «ΑΘΗΝΑ», η οποία υιοθετήθηκε κατά την αρχηγία του Αντιστράτηγου Σ. Νάση και αφορούσε την διαχείριση κρίσεων από διυπουργική επιτροπή που συνεδρίαζε στο Υπουργείο Άμυνας, αποτελεί σημαντική τροχοπέδη στην αντιμετώπιση αιφνιδιαστικού συμβάντος ή θερμού επεισοδίου. Η αποδέσμευση κανόνων εμπλοκής από τον καιρό της ειρήνης είναι υποχρέωση της πολιτειακής ηγεσίας, ούτως ώστε η ΕΦ να μπορεί να σχεδιάσει και να εκτελέσει την αποστολή της έγκαιρα και αποτελεσματικά.
- Η κρίσιμη λειψανδρία που χαρακτηρίζει τις ενεργές και επιστρατευόμενες μονάδες της ΕΦ, και η εξάρτηση της αποστολής των συγκροτημάτων μάχης, από την προσέλευση και την απόδοση των εφέδρων (χωρίς να υποτιμάται η σημαντική προσφορά τους), θα πρέπει να επιλυθεί άμεσα, ούτως ώστε οι σχηματισμοί να μπορούν να εκπληρώσουν την αποστολή που τους αναθέτει η κυπριακή πολιτεία, για ευνόητους λόγους ακόμη και χωρίς επιστράτευση. Το ΓΕΕΦ θα πρέπει να ζητήσει από την Κυπριακή Κυβέρνηση την αύξηση της ενεργού δύναμης (π.χ. σε 16.000-18.000), ενώ το ΥΠΑΜ θα πρέπει να ενισχύσει τον αριθμό και τα κίνητρα των επαγγελματιών οπλιτών, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη και τις επικείμενες αποστρατεύσεις εθελοντριών και ΕΠΥ των πρώτων σειρών. Οι μεν ικανοί ΣΥΟΠ να προαχθούν σε λοχίες με ανάλογη μισθολογική αύξηση, ενώ η ανάγκη αύξησης του προσωπικού μπορεί να καλυφθεί και από τη μεγάλη δεξαμενή προσωπικού που προσφέρει η Ελλάδα, με ανάλογο επίδομα στέγης, με την πρόσληψη ικανού αριθμού νέων ΣΥΟΠ (π.χ. 3.000-4.000). Παράλληλα, θα πρέπει να μειωθούν κατακόρυφα οι εξω-υπηρεσιακές ενασχολήσεις (τελετές, γιορτές, αγήματα, παρουσιάσεις, κοκ) και η γραφειακή αγκίστρωση του προσωπικού, ούτως ώστε να αξιοποιηθεί το υφιστάμενο προσωπικό σε καθαρά επιχειρησιακά θέματα. Επιπλέον θα πρέπει να τερματιστεί οριστικά η προνομιακή μεταχείριση του μόνιμου προσωπικού, το οποίο, για δεκαετίες, τοποθετείται ευνοϊκά, εις βάρος της αξιοκρατίας και των συναδέλφων του, βάσει των κομματικών ή προσωπικών του διασυνδέσεων, δηλητηριάζοντας την πειθαρχία στο στράτευμα και την πίστη προς την αποστολή και τον σκοπό.
- Η ΕΦ διαθέτει ικανές αρματικές και αντιαρματικές δυνατότητες, τις οποίες όμως θα πρέπει να αναπροσαρμόσει, για να αντιμετωπίσει αποτελεσματικά τη νέα απειλή που αναμένεται να κυριαρχήσει στο κυπριακό θέατρο επιχειρήσεων. Δηλαδή, τη συνδυασμένη χρήση ΜΕΑ και πυροβολικού, για τη στοχοποίηση, σε 24ώρη βάση, των χώρων διασποράς και τις συγκεντρώσεις των Μ/Κ ΤΣ και των χώρων ανάπτυξης των μοιρών πυροβολικού της ΕΦ. Η προστασία των δυνάμεων της ΕΦ από εχθρική προσβολή πυροβολικού και Α/Τ πυραύλων από ΜΕΑ, δύναται να επιτευχθεί διαμέσου παθητικών μέτρων προστασίας (βαφές οχημάτων και δίκτυα παραλλαγής anti-IR) και της αναθεώρησης των χρησιμοποιούμενων τακτικών (αποφυγή συγκέντρωσης δυνάμεων σε επίπεδο μονάδων και υπομονάδων, αραίωση τμημάτων σε επίπεδο ουλαμού-διμοιρίας, αποφυγή χρήσης χώρων διασποράς με τομές που έχουν αναγνωρισθεί, εδώ και χρόνια, από το Google Earth).
- Ενίσχυση των αντιαρματικών δυνατοτήτων της ΕΦ με σύγχρονους Α/Τ πυραύλους μεγάλης εμβέλειας για εμπλοκή των τουρκικών ΤΘ και Μ/Κ σχηματισμών στους χώρους συγκέντρωσής τους, εντός της κατεχόμενης τοποθεσίας.
- Επαναφορά της οργάνωσης του εδάφους ως επιχειρησιακής προτεραιότητας, για την ισχυροποίηση των Κέντρων Αντιστάσεως, και την προστασία του προσωπικού και των μέσων σε αμυντικές τοποθεσίες, οι οποίες αναμένεται να δεχθούν σφοδρές προσβολές πυρών πυροβολικού και όλμων.
- Μελέτη των διδαγμάτων των σύγχρονων συγκρούσεων και υιοθέτηση μη συμβατικών και ασύμμετρων τακτικών και μέσων στον συμβατικό αμυντικό αγώνα της ΕΦ
Έντονες αντιδράσεις από μερίδα των πολιτικών κομμάτων προκάλεσε η αναφορά του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας σε συνέντευξη του στο κρατικό κανάλι ότι «εάν θεωρήσουμε ότι μπορούμε να δώσουμε λύση μέσα από την στρατικοποίηση, θα οδηγούμασταν στο τέλος του κυπριακού ελληνισμού». Κάποιοι ερμηνεύουν την αναφορά αυτή ως «παράδοση» στην Τουρκία, άλλοι κάνουν λόγο για μια «ρεαλιστική» αναφορά συνυφασμένη με τις πραγματικότητες…
Ο Χρύσης Παντελίδης εκ μέρους του ΔΗΚΟ και μιλώντας στην εκπομπή Alpha Ενημέρωση έκανε λόγο για επιεικώς απαράδεκτη, προσβλητική και προκλητική αναφορά από πλευράς του Προέδρου Αναστασιάδη, προσθέτοντας πως η αναφορά αυτή δείχνει την φιλοσοφία που ακολουθείται και οδηγεί τα τελευταία χρόνια στην εγκατάλειψη της Εθνικής Φρουράς κατά παραδοχή άλλων κομμάτων και αναλυτών. Από τη στιγμή που η Κύπρος τελεί υπό τουρκική κατοχή, διαθέτει υδρογονάνθρακες στην ΑΟΖ της, είναι υποχρεωμένη τόνισε να διαθέτει αποτρεπτική δύναμη για την ασφάλεια του ζωτικού της χώρου αλλά και των πολιτών της.
«Δεν είπε κανείς ότι η Κύπρος θα κηρύξει ποτέ τον πόλεμο στην Τουρκία και ούτε η ύπαρξη μιας ισχυρής Εθνικής Φρουράς έχει επιθετική διάταξη, έχει όμως αμυντική και είναι απαραίτητη. Είμαστε υποχρεωμένοι να έχουμε ενισχυμένη ΕΦ γιατί έχουμε απέναντι μας μια πανίσχυρη επεκτατική εχθρική χώρα όπως είναι η Τουρκία και ο σκοπός της είναι να έχει αποτρεπτική ισχύ ώστε αυτός που θα επιτεθεί να το σκεφτεί δύο και τρεις φορές γνωρίζοντας όχι την τελική κατάληξη αλλά το κόστος που θα έχει για συγκεκριμένη χρονική διάρκεια», ανέφερε χαρακτηριστικά.
Από μέρους του ο Εκπρόσωπος Τύπου του ΑΚΕΛ έκανε λόγο για ένα ευαίσθητο θέμα το οποίο δεν θα πρέπει να αποτελεί αντικείμενο αντιπαραθέσεων και δημόσιας συζήτησης.
«Ένα ημικατεχόμενο κράτος με έτσι και αλλιώς υφιστάμενα προβλήματα ασφάλειας εξαιτίας αυτού του γεγονότος από μια περιφερειακή δύναμη όπως η Τουρκία το κεφάλαιο της άμυνας δεν μπορεί να λειτουργεί αλλιώς πέραν από δύναμη αποτροπής. Άρα δεν μπαίνουμε στη λογική του στρατιωτικού ανταγωνισμού με την Τουρκία. Το τι σημαίνει αποτρεπτική δύναμη είναι ότι πάντα θα πρέπει να έχεις σε τέτοια κατάσταση την άμυνα και τα στρατιωτικά σου μέσα ώστε να διασφαλίζει ότι εάν και εφόσον έρθουν τα χειρότερα και εάν η Τουρκία κάνει αυτό που απευχόμαστε, να επιτεθεί δηλαδή, να μπορείς να προτάξεις μια άμυνα αποτροπής ώστε να κινηθεί και ο διεθνής παράγοντας», είπε.
Ο Εκπρόσωπος Τύπου του ΔΗΣΥ Δημήτρης Δημητρίου, υποστήριξε ότι η Εθνική Φρουρά τα τελευταία χρόνια αναβαθμίζεται, τόσο σε επίπεδο εξοπλισμών όσο και με την εξέλιξη της σε ημιεπαγγελματικό στρατό.
«Μετά το 1974 αποφασίσαμε συλλογικά οι πολιτικές δυνάμεις του τόπου πως το κυπριακό ότι το κυπριακό θα το λύσουμε με πολιτικά και διπλωματικά μέσα και τότε συνειδητά αποφασίσαμε ότι θα έχουμε μια άμυνα αποτρεπτική και δεν θα πάμε στο παράδειγμα του Ισραήλ που είναι αστακός.( γιατι, αληθεια; Λεφτα εχετε..Συνειδηση εθνικη δεν εχετε , εσεις του ΑΚΕΛ, που κατηγορουσατε τους ανταρτες της ΕΟΚΑ σαν "στρακαστρουκες", και προδωσατε ποιος ηταν ο Διγενης στους Αγγλους...σ.σ.) Αποφασίσαμε να έχουμε στρατό που να αντέξει επίθεση μέχρι να καθίσουμε στο τραπέζι της συζήτησης», ανέφερε λέγοντας ότι η μοναδική εξέλιξη που υπήρξε από το 1974 μέχρι σήμερα ήταν η ένταξη της Κύπρου στην ΕΕ. Είπε επίσης πως ποτέ δεν υπήρξε επίθεση σε ευρωπαϊκό έδαφος.
«Ο πρόεδρος αυτό εννοούσε όταν έλεγε αυτό που είπε και αυτό είναι που λέμε ότι έχουμε ως γραμμή τα τελευταία 45 χρόνια και ας μην του προσδίδουμε εμείς περισσότερη αξία από αυτό που είναι και αυτό που κατανοούμε όλοι. Στην ΕΕ οφείλουμε ανεξαρτήτως της κατοχής να έχουμε εκείνη τη δύναμη την αμυντική που να προστατεύει τις θάλασσες και τα σύνορα», ανέφερε, προσθέτοντας ότι δεν μπορούμε να έχουμε στρατό ως Ε/κ απέναντι στους Τ/κ με τους οποίους θέλουμε να λύσουμε το κυπριακό πρόβλημα και να επανενώσουμε το νησί.

(1) -Αμυντικες Δαπανες Κυπριακης Δημοκρατιας
Στα επίπεδα του 2011 θα φτάσει το 2018 ο κυπριακός προϋπολογισμός εξοπλισμών μετά την απόφαση του Υπουργικού Συμβουλίου για την ψήφιση ενός συμπληρωματικού εξοπλιστικού προϋπολογισμού συνολικού ύψους 44,4 εκατ. ευρώ, ώστε τελικά το 2018 ο προϋπολογισμός εξοπλισμών να φτάσει τα 106,4 εκατ. ευρώ και το σύνολο των αμυντικών δαπανών να φτάσει στα 396.207.600 ευρώ.
Τα χρήματα αυτά πρόκειται να δαπανηθούν για την αγορά νέων οπλικών συστημάτων τα οποία σχετίζονται και με την δραστηριότητα που υπάρχει στην κυπριακή ΑΟΖ και τις τουρκικές προκλήσεις.Πάντως μέχρι και την έγκριση του συμπληρωματικού εξοπλιστικού προϋπολογισμού η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία είχε ψηφίσει για το 2018 έναν αμυντικό προϋπολογισμό συνολικού ύψους 351.807.600 ευρώ.
Το ποσό των 106,4 εκατ. ευρώ που προορίζεται για εξοπλισμούς είναι στο ίδιο επίπεδο με το έτος 2011 όταν ο προϋπολογισμός εξοπλισμών ήταν 105 εκατ. ευρώ.
Για την ιστορία οι αμυντικές δαπάνες και οι εξοπλιστικές δαπάνες (εντός παρενθέσεως) της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας την περίοδο 2005-2018 ήταν:
2018 – Αμυντικές δαπάνες 351.807.600 ευρώ (61.910.214 ευρώ + 44.400.000 ευρώ επιπλέον ) δηλ. τελικό σύνολο 396.207.600 ευρώ
2017 – Αμυντικές δαπάνες: 352 εκατ. ευρώ (65 εκατ. ευρώ)
2016 – Αμυντικές δαπάνες: 319 εκατ. ευρώ (72 εκατ. ευρώ)

Πάντως τα παλαιότερα χρόνια και κυρίως κατα την διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1990 η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία δαπανούσε περισσότερα χρήματα για εξοπλισμούς.
